Every Valentine's Day, you see suggestions and list after list for what people need to get for the wonderful women in their lives. Unfortunately, that leaves men often as an afterthought. It's much more difficult to find different gift guides for mens. I know for myself, when I'm struggling to think of the right gift for the woman in my life, I have a hundred tabs open of different gift ideas, lists, and sites. When it comes to men though, there's a real lack of help you can get out there in the interwebs. Therefore this year, Exuvius thought we'd come out of our shell and show a little more love to the guys by helping their partners in finding the right gift. Of course, in the world of Exuvius, we've put together a different type of gift list. We're all about empowering men to do more. So for this list, we've focused on gifts that give a little more oomph and magic than their peers. Here's our top 5 rundown of how to supercharge your man (in no particular order):
Mr. Fix-It: Leatherman Tread Bracelet ($165 Stainless Steel / $220 Black)
If he's into multi-tools like we are, this is one of the coolest and most innovative products in that category from a seasoned multi-tool maker. Unlike most multi-tools, the Leatherman Tread doubles as a bracelet. It's on a wrist! And with 29 tools!!! That means he'll conveniently have the ability to do more on his one wrist than Ash Williams, Inspector Gadget, and James Bond combined. What's also great about wearing the tools is that it means his pockets and belt loops get a break from carrying around a bulky heavy tool. He's not walking around with a weird bulge at his side anymore. The Tread looks good and makes him look good too! Look, wearables are all the rage these days, but this isn't one of those techy, trendy, flashy wearables that everyone is wearing. This is for the rugged, get down and dirty, let's solve the problem type of guys and provides a cool new way to carry your tools around. We love the Leatherman Tread so much that this is usually our go-to gift for people.

Honorable Mention: PowerAssist EOD 2.0 ($68) - This is more of a traditional multi-tool that Leatherman and Gerber are famous for. However we thought we'd introduce you to another brand that some say offers better performance. Their pliers work on a cog mechanism offering more power. The power assist also makes it easier to open tools. Even better, they have great customer service and a lifetime warranty. Some say the quality has declined over the past year, but it's still a great product and better than its Leatherman and Gerber counterparts.
The Battery Hog: RAVPower Savior ($40)
If your man is into gadgets like us and does a lot with them, then there's no doubt that his battery life suffers. Of course, there are hundreds of portable batteries out there to give you that extra boost. However that means you've got another extra item to carry around in your case or bag. To help solve that problem, we love the idea of a wall charger plus portable battery combination. One of the more well known devices in that category is the Fluxmob Bolt, but we like the RAVPower Savior and with hundreds of reviews on Amazon, others seem to agree. Instead of using the typical wall charger, we opt for the the Savior because it also doubles as an extra battery. Unlike the Bolt (or Bolt 2), it also provides a crazy amount of power with a 9000mAh battery. That means a full charge of an iPhone 6 four times! On top of that, it actually provides you with a charging cable so that's another thing you don't need to carry around. Just in case you don't only carry around Apple products, they even provide you with a microUSB adapter to charge non-Apple products. This has replaced our apple wall charger in our bags completely and we no longer have to carry around a separate extra battery.

Honorable Mention: PlugBug World ($45) - Along the same lines of reducing what we carry, some of us carry our laptop cables more so than an extra battery. That's where the PlugBug comes in. Instead of coupling with a wall charger as an extra battery, it serves as a your MacBook wall adapter. Instead of your usual wall charger, you just plug your USB device straight into your Apple power block. The World version also includes a bag of travel adapters so that you can use anywhere in the world and not have to worry about carrying multiple travel adapters since with this, you can plug in both your laptop and your phone. If you don't need those, you can save $15 and just opt for the non world version.
The Drinker: DropCatch ($39)
We're cheating here a little bit by calling this multi-functional, but in our eyes, this is a must have for the beer connoisseur (or if he just really really likes to drink a lot). The best beers don't come with a twist top so you're left with the need to use a bottle opener. Not a huge problem for most people, but the DropCatch just makes it so easy and fun. One, obviously it can be used to open bottles. You just place your bottle into the opener and pop off the cap. Second, DropCatch not only opens the bottle, but it "picks" up after you as well. Hidden in the wood is a magnet that catches your falling bottle caps and keeps them there. No flying bottle caps or bending down to pick up fallen ones. With a super strong magnet, it'll actually hold a lot of the bottle caps there so you don't have to worry about removing them each time too. Speaking of magnet, that means you can actually use this as .... a giant magnet! We have ours on the fridge and it holds our favorite take out menus. (You can tell we're really stretching this multi-functional thing, huh?) If that's not your thing, you can also screw this into a wall. It's strong, convenient, and fun! Just one word of caution. Try to keep your hands way from the neck of your bottle. The magnet is strong so once that bottle cap is off, it races to the magnet. If your hand or fingers are in the way, you may get cut. But hey, we're daredevils and live on the edge so it's worth the risk in our eyes.

Honorable Mention: Original Shot Flask ($20) If hard liquor is more his thing, than this is a pretty neat gift for the sociable drinker. Every sophisticated drinker carries around a flask, but it's a true gentleman that also carries around a shot glass to share. With this flask, you'll always have a shot glass around since the expandable shot glass is hidden within the flask itself.
Always On the Go: Hardgraft 2unfold Laptop Bag ($709)
This bag is one of Hardgraft's original designs and we've loved it ever since they came out with it. Hardgraft is a small shop that is known for it's quality leather goods. What started as just a bag shop has expanded to cases, wallets, etc. What's unique about this bag though compared to their other products is that it's a transformer. It's actually 3 types of bags in one! Your man can use this as a classic leather laptop bag to look professional and sleek at work. On top of that, he can wear the bag like a backpack, leaving both his hands free to do anything. And for the legal or artistic guys out there, it can unfold and be used as a small folio. There's no better way to be on the go than carrying one of these. You'll get amazing versatility at a high quality for the professional guy who's always on the go.

Honorable Mention: Ospey Farpoint 55 ($180-230) - If your guys is more of the outdoorsy and traveling type, then this is the bag. There are definitely other hiking and travel packs out there so don't get this if he already has a tried and true go to bag. However if he's looking for one, then this is the perfect gift. It's got plenty of room and the best part, the bag has a detachable daypack that you can take and use on its own for a quick hike or strap it on to the front to help balance the load on your back. Every person we've talked to raves about this bag and you are bound to see one or two on any flight by savvy travellers everywhere. The 55 model is the perfect size as a carry on too, but if you need a little more space, they offer this in 75 as well.
Fashionable Professional: Exuvius Titan Multi-Tool Collar Stays (Standard + Mini Lengths) ($50)
Of course, we can't have a list of men's gifts without mentioning our own Exuvius products. It's hard to find multi-functional items that go well with a professional outfit. However we specialize in multifunctional accessories. One of our most popular products, the Titan Multi-Tool Collar Stays, offers the perfect combination of traditional and modern functionality. Like all collar stays, these will keep him and his collars looking sharp. On top of that, if the need arises, he can always pull out one of these collar stays to open a bottle, tighten a screw, or cut a loose thread. This titanium set offers 2 sets of different sizes which adds even more versatility so that you can use either a 2" or 2.5" stay for your collars. Even better, all their products feature packaging you can reuse. In this case, these come packaged in a nifty business card holder once you rip out the insert. It's like multiple products for the price of one! So here's to looking good and doing good!

Honorable Mention: Helix Cuff Wearable Headphones ($299) Unfortunately this is a pre-order so you'd have to gift a picture or save it for another day. However these are the coolest headphones around and made a splash at CES this year. Carrying headphones is a hassle, especially when you aren't using them since they got tangled in your pocket or bag. The Helix solves that problem by hiding them in a fashionable cuff so that when you're not using them, they can be stashed away in a convenient but fashionable way.
